Pokémon Sun and Moon

So, I decided to buy Pokemon Sun after all.

pokemon_sun_moon

I happened to be down at Melbourne Central for unrelated reasons at around 5:20pm on Friday, 18th November. As suspected, Big W had no stock when I meandered in there so late, and they didn't even put a sold out sign out. EB Games had a line snaking out the door, but they price matched Big W for $46. I hope the staff there got paid overtime, because they looked pretty weary.

As usual, here's a brief review of my experience. Please refrain from reading if you have not yet finished the game and still wish to be surprised.

Anime Summary: August 2015

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

panty_stocking

Very rarely do you find a series as different and memorable as PSG. In fact, this is a series which is so out of place that it is difficult to ascertain if what you are seeing is the most awe-inspiring thing ever made, or actually incredibly repulsive. Maybe it’s both?

Anime Summary: June 2015

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

shokugeki_no_soma

Firstly, before I launch more deeply into the delicious many layered onion that is Food Wars, I must stress that this is the best anime I have watched all year. It categorises itself as a series focused on cooking the most delicious food dishes, which I don't dispute for reasons I'm about to explain.

At first glance, there's not much that sets Food Wars apart. It follows the familiar pattern of many other similar series which have come before it - such as Eyeshield 21, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Yumeiro Patissiere and even more mainstream shows like Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, Fairy Tail and One Piece. Except of course, Food Wars doesn't have the raw physical brawl potential of half these other series, and therefore has to make up for it... in other ways.

About Pathtags

In line with my metal casting obsession, I considered creating colour filled coins as well as charms. So a few months ago, I began drawing up plans to submit some of my designs as Pathtags.

I will be writing about my experiences with creating all of my Pathtags here.
This will also be my review and personal log of their products and services. :3

Game Reviews: Otome September 2012

Spring has arrived, and with it comes my slew of otome games! I’ve got two online games to compare, plus some neat play-throughs of a few smaller downloadable titles. And so we shall endeavour to finish reviewing these suckers before September ends.~

First up, we’ve got Star Project VS. My Candy Love. They’re both girly online dating games, each with a different kind of appeal. That is, aside from the fresh meat random guys on offer. Since my personal opinion on which of these two is the superior game is so obvious, I’ll just cut to the chase...

Go and play Star Project now. NOW! NOW! NOW! DON’T DELAY! Why are you still here, even??
... And if you have some extra time, you might as well sign up for My Candy Love too.

That concludes my concise opinion. Thank you for acknowledging my existence. :)

Game Reviews: Pokémon Conquest (DS)

Ah, Pokemon spinoff games. I recently picked up Pokemon Conquest a week ago, intrigued by the various positive reviews on it I read online.

This game is a simplified mix between Fire Emblem, Dungeon Dice Monsters and Civilization. The result is a terribly addictive and unusual Pokemon experience.

In fact, Pokemon Conquest reminds me of this obscure domain.com.au billboard located near Flinders Street station:

“YOU’RE NOT A HOME BUYER. YOU’RE A WARLORD IN A BATTLE FOR TERRITORY.”

(My phone camera is sucky.)

It took the basic idea of a role-playing strategy game and turned it into something exciting and new. Or, at least new to the Pokemon franchise.

Beauty Products: December 2011

My verdict has finally arrived on some of the products I ordered earlier in the year. Instead of the usual cosmetic makeup used to cover up flaws, this year I tried out some more natural beauty enhancement products.

I mostly invested in eyelash growth serum, finishing powder compacts and staple facial cleansers. You can probably guess by the varied review lengths that I have tested some items more than others.

Game Reviews: November 2011

What better way is there to welcome the new year, other than digging out your old game cartridges? Okay, you’re right. Planting your face into the cat’s fluff also qualifies.

Not surprisingly, 95% of all the Game Boy games I own are either Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh titles. I’ve picked out two of them which can be played at your convenience, and with your friends. I mean, with other players.

Anime Reviews: September 2011

First up, not much anime this month. Mainly because I’m out of stuff that’s actually good, but this time also because I caught some kind of nasty flu. It’s one of those strains that causes a stuffy nose, coughing and vomiting all at once. Yup. Anyway, onto the anime!

It's been a long month, and I'm presenting an even longer post. Yup, you should be grateful that your underarms don't smell like yoghurt and the cat hasn't tried sniffing your bellybutton. Well... Onwards!

BB Cream Reviews

BB creams are a product that sit somewhere between foundation and skincare, and therefore they can save you both time and money. Many BB creams include multiple functions on top of acting as a foundation, such as UV protection, moisturiser and blemish healing properties.

Anime Reviews: April 2011

It’s time for April’s selection of anime reviews. At this point, I’d like to let you know that I am running out of highly rated series to watch. ^^'

Sailor Moon (Arcade)

These include all the old Sailor Moon side-scroller arcade games. These are all very similar, so I’ll be focusing on the two SNES releases.

Anime Reviews: March 2011

As we all know, anime is the fastest and most efficient way to enrich your otherwise bland afternoons. Whether it be for laughs, fights or reflection, those of you who don’t watch enough anime are missing out on something truly essential to living.

Here are some musings about a few that I have watched recently in March 2011.
